Euro 2020 is just around the corner, and to celebrate this summer of sport, Pringles is bringing back two of its most popular limited edition flavours.

As European football’s flagship tournament gears up for kick-off, Pringles has launched a campaign aiming to “put the playful back in football after last season’s setbacks”, and the two fan-favourite flavours are set to hit shop shelves up and down the UK this week.

Pringles said it chose to bring back the ‘Doner Kebab’ and ‘Pulled Pork Burger’ as they seemed to go down such a treat with football fans.

Also in an attempt to “keep the fun in football”, Pringles is teaming up with football freestyler Lia Lewis to invent a new signature trick. Not only will Lia be showing off her skills with an empty Pringles can, she’ll be encouraging everyone from football fanatics, to the part-time fans, to put their best foot forward.

The love for football freestyling has been on the rise over the last year, with 32% of people revealing they’ve taken it up for fun, 26% admitting it’s to get better at football, and 18% just out of boredom.

13% of football lovers admitted they would spend more than the average day of work trying to accomplish a football trick, whilst 5% admitted they would spend the equivalent of 33 football matches, or a staggering 50 hours, getting it right.

Speaking on the new partnership, Lia Lewis said: “I’ve had a great time creating this trick with Pringles and can’t wait to see people having a go at it [as] freestyle football is so much fun and everyone can get involved.

“All you need is a pair of boots and a ball, or in this case, the iconic Pringles can.”

Florence Kayll – UK Activation Brand Manager at Pringles – added: “We’re really excited for the summer of football and can’t wait to see all of our Pringles’ fans having a go at Lia’s trick.”
