McDonald’s is adding a bunch of tasty new options to its menu today just in time for Easter, and a few fan-favourites are also making a return.
Yes, that’s right – the legendary Creme Egg McFlurry is back.
It’s felt like a long time coming, but the first signs of spring are officially showing, and now, popular fast food chain McDonald’s has finally confirmed that fans will be able to indulge in its classic Easter-themed dessert once again from today, alongside some other limited-edition sweet and savoury options that are bound to go down a real treat.
The Creme Egg McFlurry is an undeniable Maccies fan favourite, and is made from dairy ice cream swirled with Cadbury milk chocolate pieces, and the trademark gooey Cadbury Crème Egg fondant sauce running all the way through.
The massively-popular dessert comes in both the regular and mini size, and will set you back £2.19 each, or just £1.59 for the mini.
Although the Creme Egg McFlurry is obviously one of the most-anticipated returning menu items, especially with Easter being only few weeks away now, it’s not the only thing due for a comeback, as McDonald’s has also confirmed that the popular burger, the McCrispy Deluxe, will be returning today, as well as the beloved Halloumi Fries.
Fresh from its debut in summer 2023, the McCrispy Deluxe will be back for a limited time this Easter, and is made up of a 100% chicken breast fillet in a crispy crunchy coating topped with a hot and spicy mayo, caramelised onion compote, seasonal lettuce, bacon, red onions, a slice of cheddar cheese and a sourdough style bun.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a new seasonal menu without a cheesy sidekick, would it? That’s why the Halloumi Fries – which are coated in a light batter, and served with a rich tomato dip – are also returning today, and will also be available to order in ‘Sharebox’ size too.
Then, when it comes to newbies, there’s a few debuts on the McDonald’s Easter menu for 2024 too.
This year, if fast food fans aren’t into Creme Eggs, then they can tuck into the brand-new the Galaxy Truffle Bunny McFlurry instead, or opt for a seasonal take on the chain’s iconic dessert in the form of the new Hot Cross Bun Pie for just £1.99.
And to top it all off, you can wash all your seasonal treats off with the new Hot Cross Bun Latte – which is described as being a smooth latte blended with a sweet and spiced hot cross bun-flavoured syrup, and topped with cinnamon cream and hot cross bun-flavoured dusting.
The McDonald’s 2024 Easter menu will officially be launching across the UK today (Wednesday 13 March), and will be available for a limited time only.
