An all-singing all-dancing musical theatre rave is taking over a popular nightclub in Manchester city centre next week.

While club nights, dance parties, and packed-out nightlife events are not always for everyone, it seems like it’s not only about acid house and electronic dance music anymore, as even fans of a show tune are now able to get involved.

Theatre fans can let their hair down and sing their hearts out to all their favourite stagey songs at a series of ‘Musical Theatre Raves’ happening across the UK.

And one of these “epic theatrical parties” is coming to Manchester for the first time ever next week.

Described as “a theatre kid’s dream come true”, and billed as being the night musical theatre fans “have been waiting for”, Musical Theatre Raves will be taking over Cargo Manchester in the Printworks.

It’s all set to be the “ultimate night out for musical theatre lovers”.

Musical Theatre Raves usually kick-off with some electrifying live performances from West End and stage stars.

All before a DJ takes to the decks to blare out your favourite musical theatre tunes.

Think smash-hit songs from classic musicals like Grease, Mamma Mia!, Les Miserables, and Wicked mixed in with some modern-day tunes from Hamilton, SIX The Musical, The Greatest Showman, and so much more.

TikTok sensation Hannah Lowther (Heathers, No Limits, SpongeBob the Musical), powerhouse Luke Bayer (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Fiver, Diva), and stunning drag queen Shar Cooterie are all confirmed to be taking to the stage in Manchester.

There’ll be stage-inspired cocktails, cosplay is encouraged, and you may even get a surprise cameo.

And, if you fancy putting your own stage presence to the test, then you can also stick your name down to take part in an interactive lip sync battle.
