One of Greater Manchester’s newest food markets is hosting an afternoon tea especially for dogs later this month.

And it sounds SO cute.

In case you didn’t know, April is actually National Pet Month, and so, in a bid to properly mark this all-important national holiday in the best way possible, MediaCity has decided to host a handful of different dog-friendly events down at Central Bay’s newly-opened Kargo MKT overlooking the Salford Quays waterfront in a couple of weeks time.

Taking place on Sunday 21 April from midday through until 4pm, dog owners and dog-lovers alike can make their way over to Kargo MKT’s first ever ‘Furry Friends Market’, which’ll feature 10 local traders offering all things pet-related – including treats, artwork, accessories, and more.

Moggy & Co, Ruby and Sophia Dog Bakery, Hugo and Co, Art By Em, and Noff and Nana are just some of the traders confirmed, with many more soon to be announced.

The ‘Furry Friends Market’ is free for anyone to head on down to.

The highlight of MediaCity’s National Pet Month events lineup has to be the magical Mad Hatter-themed afternoon tea though.

‘Mad Hatters Dog Afternoon Tea’ is all set to be “a whimsical afternoon of tea, treats, and furry friends”, with all four-legged attendees being treated to a specially-crafted platter featuring a variety of themed iced dog biscuits from Ruby and Sophia’s Dog Bakery that are “made with love and premium ingredients”.

The biscuits are designed to be pet stomach-friendly, and are made with wheat-free flour, carrots, apples, peanut butter, dog yoghurt, natural colourings, beetroot powder, coconut oil, and cheese.

Puppuchinos will be free-flowing at the tea party too, which are also be carefully-created to be both delicious and easy on their stomach.
