It was the sell-out success of 2020 – and now the immersive drive-in cinema experience ScareCity is returning to Manchester next month.
With the spooky season just around the corner and Halloween only a matter of weeks away, the much-loved drive-in cinema phenomenon that took 2020 by storm in the midst of COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns is coming back to Greater Manchester this October, and tickets are now on sale.
ScareCity 2.0 will take over a brand-new location at the Soccer Dome in Stretford from 1 – 31 October to bring entertainment safely to guests in their own cars from the biggest screen in the UK.
Returning with what is being described as a horrific new look and witchcraft theme, ScareCity – hosted by Park N Party, the team also behind popular drive-in events SecretCity and ChristmasCity – is set to be packed with surprises and delights as visitors are guided through the haunting drive-in tunnel before parking up to watch a film.
Live actors lurking in the shadows and unexpected surprises throughout will make for a truly hair-raising experience.
With more films set to be announced as the month goes on, some of the “bone-chilling scary flicks” on the ScareCity schedule this year include A Quiet Place, The Cabin In The Woods, Insidious, and The Grudge, as well as some spooky hits for kids too such as Coraline, Hocus Pocus, and Coco.
But what else should visitors be prepared for this Halloween?
Well, even people who got the chance to experience ScareCity in 2020 will still be in for a shock this year, as the new-for-2021 ‘Scare Zone’ is filled with photo opportunities for those brave enough walk through.
There’s also set to be a fully-licensed bar and food vendors on site throughout the whole month.
Tickets are priced at £40 per vehicle.
You can find the full schedule of films and book your tickets for ScareCity 2.0 via the Park N Party website here.
