What's On
LEGO is hosting a series of interactive workshops for kids in Manchester – and they’re FREE
It's all about helping young creators "celebrate their star power".
Little Mancs who love LEGO can take part in a series of interactive building workshops in Manchester next month.
As part of the launch of its new campaign aimed at championing and standing up for girls’ creativity, and in a bid to encourage children across Greater Manchester and the rest of the UK to “play without limits”, The LEGO Group has this week named the first dates in its series of interactive workshops taking place throughout the year.
Aimed at young creators aged six to 12, the workshops are set to be focused on themes such as entertainment, space, imagination, and gaming.
Workshops will take place down at the LEGO Toy Shop in Manchester Arndale and the LEGO Store at the Trafford Centre on the final two Sundays of April, as well as online for those who are unable to make it in person.
The first in-person ‘Creativity Workshops’ will be held at the LEGO Toy Shop in Manchester Arndale and LEGO Store Trafford Centre on Sunday 21 and Sunday 28 April, and will have an entertainment theme, which means young creators can “celebrate their star power” by building a photo frame to display a picture of an achievement, their friends and family, or anything they want to celebrate.
Store associates will be on hand to help guide kids with their build.
And the best bit?
Tickets to the workshops are FREE, but you will need to make sure you book them in advance on the LEGO website here, as they’re expected to be snapped-up fast.
For those who aren’t able to attend the workshops in person, there’s the new ‘Creativity at Home’ series – which are online workshops hosted by creative innovators, starting with dancing sensation Dianne Buswell, who’ll show families how to create fun LEGO builds to decorate your home.
Some of these online build projects include a name sign, photo frame, and jewellery stand, and they’re available to take part in now on www.LEGO.com/Creativity-Workshops.
