We’re arguably world leaders in all of the above.
However, one area we’re less skilled in, apparently, is sex.
According to data compiled by bed and mattress specialists, Bed SOS, Manchester ranked among the worst cities for happy lovers - with a paltry 38% of Mancs declaring themselves happy with what’s happening between the sheets.
Awkward? Absolutely. Although perhaps there’s a bit of a silver lining in that Liverpool topped the unsatisfactory sex chart - with less than a third of Scousers left smiling after some not-so-steamy encounters.
According to stats, we’re also having slightly more sex overall than Liverpool: 2.7 times a week compared to 2.6.
But the smugness stops there. Manchester also ranked as the fifth least city to orgasm during sex - so it doesn’t appear like we’re doing much right when it comes to bedroom moves.
The study ultimately revealed Newcastle as the “climax capital” of the UK, whilst Edinburgh was unveiled as the least likely place for pleasure.

According to sex-perts consulted by Bed SOS, there are a number of ways to spice things up in the bedroom, including watching something erotic, experimenting with new things, staying healthy, focusing on the moment and maintaining good communication.
