Manchester’s smashed burger takeaway sensation Burgerism is teaming up with Leeds’ dessert favourites Get Baked to offer some ridiculously good desserts to diners.
In what promises to be a marriage of pure, unadulterated deliciousness, the news was teased out on Instagram by Leeds-based dessert favourites Get Baked earlier this month – and we couldn’t be more excited.
Announcing that a collaboration between the two brands would be coming son. Get Baked’s owner has told Manchester followers to: “hold onto your f*cking Oasis album or what ever it is you use for comfort over there. It’s gonna be special this one.”

The post continued: “Keep your eyes peeled as well because obviously that’s important. Alright, all the best. GB x @burgerism”
Speaking to The Manc a representative for Burgerism confirmed that a long-term collaboration was in the pipeline, but that the details were “still fairly under wraps for now.”

They added: “We love everything about Get Baked – their desserts are mega – and can’t wait to announce more in due course” before revealing that the plan is to offer Get Baked’s super indulgent brownies as part of the Burgerism menu.
“The plan will be to offer Get Baked brownies as a part of the Burgerism menu – so yes it’s a Burgerism X Get Baked collab – but we see it more as a long term thing, or a partnership, rather than a one-off.

“We’ve never had a fixed dessert offering at Burgerism and it’s something fans have requested over the years; but at Burgerism we really only believe in the best – so that’s where the idea to speak with Rich and the team at Get Baked came from. We wouldn’t want dessert to be some sort of after-thought.”
“We’ll reveal more soon – and more than likely fans will be able to order Get Baked from Burgerism in the very near future!”
For foodies who’ve been scranning in Manchester for some time, Get Baked won’t be a new name – having first launched here in Manchester over a decade ago as a munchies delivery service popular with local students.

The dessert business was first founded from a Leeds kitchen in 2011, quickly growing a cult following as word spread out into neighbouring cities including Manchester.

It quickly amassed more than 50,000 followers across social media, with people eager to keep up to date with their humorous content and mouth-watering food pictures.
Then, in the midst of its success, it shut down following what has been described as an “unsuccessful” venture into the restaurant business with The Joint in Leeds city centre.
The bakery returned in June last year, with the help of backing from new investors and has since gone viral once again – with its owner even being interviewed on American TV thanks to the phenomena now known as ‘sprinklegate’, which saw the business reported for using ‘illegal’ sprinkles.
Known for producing a range of indulgent treats including itsgiant Matilda-inspired ‘Bruce’ chocolate cakes, delivery is already available UK wide but the option to enjoy treats as part of a Burgerism order have certainly got us excited in The Manc office.
Watch this space, we expect a fresh update will be coming from the team soon. For now, we wait.

Global sportswear brand PUMA to open new UK HQ in £87m Manchester development
Emily Sergeant
PUMA is set to open its new UK headquarters right here in Manchester.
It has been announced that the global sportswear brand has agreed a 20,000 sq ft lease of cutting-edge workspace in what is turning out to be one of the city’s most exciting destinations for technology, digital innovation, and creative businesses, Circle Square.
Set to take shape on the Oxford Road Corridor, PUMA’s new HQ will be in the £87 million development being brought forward by Bruntwood SciTech – which is a joint venture between property developers Bruntwood, L&G (Legal & General), and Greater Manchester Pension Fund.
No.3 Circle Square, which is where PUMA will be calling home, forms the latest phase of the neighbourhood’s ‘masterplan’, offering 15 floors of new workspace focused on innovation businesses.
According to developers, the building is currently finalising construction and will open this summer.
PUMA may already have an existing small presence in Manchester, but this move sees the brand relocate its UK HQ from London to Manchester.
The new Manchester HQ will be home to the company’s sales, marketing, merchandising, finance, people and operations, and direct to consumer departments.
PUMA says its new Manchester base will allow it to work side-by-side with existing forward-thinking and disruptive businesses and institutions that are already located at the Circle Square campus, and in the wider city centre, and provide it with new opportunities to collaborate and innovate as it continues to focus on innovation and advancing performance.
The location will also put PUMA on the doorstep of the city’s world-leading academic institutions too, giving it access to Manchester’s top STEM and creative talent in the city.
“The move to Circle Square and state-of-the-art facilities on offer forms a key part of our strategy for providing PUMA’s employees with a first class working environment with top facilities and amenities,” commented Lucynda Davies, who is PUMA’s UK Managing Director, as the new UK HQ was announced this week.
“Being surrounded by such a strong line up of industry was an important factor, and to find somewhere in the heart of Manchester’s thriving tech community is exactly what we hoped for.
“We’ve already experienced many of the gains that a thriving city like Manchester affords… and now, through our new UK HQ, we look forward to further integrating ourselves in the city’s innovative community.”

Halestorm announce HUGE Manchester gig and new album this year
Thomas Melia
Award-winning American rock band Halestorm have just announced their latest album as well as a slate of UK tour dates, and they’re stopping off in Manchester later this year.
The four-piece consists of siblings Lzzy and Arejay Hale alongside guitarist Joe Hottinger and bass player Josh Smith.
This post-grunge and heavy metal-influenced collective is no stranger to regular slots on big stages, known for playing up to 250 shows a year as headliners and as support acts – impressive stuff from a prolific band who are approaching their fifth studio LP.

They also became the first female-fronted band to win a Grammy in the ‘Best Hard Rock/ Metal Performance’ category back in 2013 with ‘Love Bites (So Do I)’. There’s just no stopping them.
With that in mind, Halestorm are bringing their ‘balls to the wall’ and in-your-face live performances across the Atlantic once again, stopping off in various cities including London, Birmingham and, of course, the de facto music capital of the North, Manchester.
These rockers have chosen none other than AO Arena to play ‘The nEVEREST Tour’, which is set to be nothing less than a fiery spectacle.
The group last touched down in our city back in 2022 on their ‘Back from the Dead’ tour in this very same arena to a roaring crowd of fans, which they’re nailed on to attract once again this year.
Halestorm always do things big, that’s why this tour coincides with the announcement of their new album ‘Everest’, which drops this August, giving fans plenty of time to learn all the words and get in all the head-banging practice they need.
Just look at how many tour dates they’ve got coming up in Europe and the UK alone.
We are SO excited to announce The nEVEREST WorldWide Tour coming this fall!!!
On-Sales begins Friday, May 2nd but varies by territory. Check local listings and subscribe to our newsletter for more pre-sale and on-sale information at https://t.co/9Qhzd42L52. pic.twitter.com/LW8Bhc7DTQ
Halestorm have caught plenty of attention over the years too, sharing the stage with fellow heavyweights like Alice Cooper, Joan Jett, as well as Heaven & Hell, just to name a few.
Expectations will be high as this lot are known for having the ability to dominate any sold-out stage with their serious stage presence; they will definitely deliver on the night.
Halestorm are coming to AO Arena in Manchester on 24 November 2025 with Three+ pre-sale starting from 6 May, AO Arena pre-sale from 7 May, and tickets going on general sale from Thursday 8 May – 10am across the board.
