A brand new woodland adventure park next to Cholmondeley Castle has opened its doors in Cheshire today.
Just as ‘Step Two’ in the government’s roadmap to lifting England’s current national lockdown commenced today, BeWILDerwood – a multi-million pound attraction situated in Bickley Moss in Whitchurch, which has been built under the government’s strict COVID-19 guidelines – opened its gates to the public.
Based on the ‘Boggle at BeWILDerwood’ stories by author and creator Tom Blofeld, the park boasts everything from wooden play structures and treehouses, to zip wire activities, huge slides and more.
There’s even an awesome maze for all ages too.
The experience revolves around the magical characters that live in the trees and the woodland, with the adventure brought to life by storytellers on the site.
BeWILDerwood contains no noisy rides or electronics, and there’s no junk food on site either.
The company does this to stay in-line with its organic theme and natural surroundings – with their ethos literally being “leave technology behind, get outdoors and use your imagination”.
Speaking ahead of the opening of the park, Tom Blofeld said: “We can’t wait to finally open the gates to the people of Cheshire and beyond.
“When thinking about opening a second park and after looking at a few options, I just knew Cheshire was the right choice. The woodland is the perfect setting for the Boggles and Twiggles and all the other curious characters from the books.
“The key is to use your imagination and simply have fun together as a family”.
Fancy a look around the new attraction then?
Since tickets for the attraction officially went on sale last month, there has been huge interest from families right across the region, meaning that April has already sold out and weekends in May are also selling quick.
There is still good availability for dates throughout the summer though, but you’ll need to act fast if you’re keen to bag some tickets.
Tickets must be booked in advance via the BeWILDerwood website here.
