S Club 7 singer Paul Cattermole has sadly passed away aged just 46.

The news of his death was confirmed on Friday, 7 April just weeks after the hit 90s and early 2000s pop sensation announced a massive UK reunion tour.

Cattermole was found dead at his home in Dorset on Thursday afternoon. His cause of death is still unknown.

His family put out a statement saying, “It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother Paul Cattermole”, with both them and the band asking for respect and privacy during this difficult time. The band also put out the following statement on Twitter:

His fellow performers wrote: “We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have.”
