There are carb overloads, and then there is Bread & Bowls‘ Full English breakfast in a hollowed-out loaf.
First launched in February 2020, these ginormous loaves of sourdough – stuffed with fry-up favourites like high-grade local sausages, crispy streaky bacon, beans, cheese, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes and hash browns – became something of a hungover lockdown sensation.
Now, Charlotte has revealed that she’s coming back into town, with plans to move her kitchen into brand new Spinningfields coffee shop 92 Degrees later this month.
With a range of dishes designed ‘for the greedy’, as well as the famous Full English breakfast bowls fans of her bready-heavy creations will also be able to get their hands on a full loafed-up lunch and brunch menu.

Served between 8am and 4pm every day, think smashed avo and poached eggs, alongside the signature bread bowls and loaded hash browns topped with cheese and beans, sausages, streaky bacon and a perfect poached egg, all made to order.

The kitchen is also vegan friendly, with plant-based alternatives available for all meat products.
The move to Hardman Square sees Charlotte take it back to where it all began, having first launched her Bread & Bowl concept here two years ago just before the Covid-19 pandemic hit.

Initially opening at The Tavern (now The Lawn Club) in February 2020, following some incredible pop-ups with the likes of Mary & Archie, Lifeshare and Feel Good Club, she will head back to Spinningfields on 16 September.
However, whilst her bread bowls have been undeniably popular, it hasn’t all be plain sailing.
With just two weeks to go before the Spinningfield launch, she found that she had been locked out of her Instagram account, leaving her “low key losing my sh*t” all thanks to a verification scam.

Her mum, an admin on the account, saw that she had been tagged in a verification request and uploaded some account details.
The Instagram Verification code scam is a common one, but unfortunately it has hit at the worst time – leaving Charlotte unable to promote her move to her 4,000+ followers just when she needs to communicate with them the most.
She told The Manc: “[I’ve] definitely been stressing alot about loosing the account and getting the word out.”
When they open inside 92 Degrees next week, she tells us that the coffee shop will “boast a cocktail menu alongside their amazing coffee.”
For those unfamiliar with 92 Degrees, it is an independent coffee company first established seven years ago with a single shop and roastery in Liverpool.

Owners have been successfully operating in the city’s John Dalton Street and Middlewood Locks for the past 18 months, now they will launch their third in the city this month alongside kitchen residents Bread & Bowl.
Speaking from their North West headquarters, Jack said: “Spinningfields is the perfect location for our third site in Manchester and it’s an area that we have been paying close attention to for some time. We’ve enjoyed great success at our two other Manchester outlets and the reception we have received over the last 18 months there has been awesome.
“We are super excited to make our presence known even more so in the city and to get to know our new neighbours and customers. It is a brilliant space that really does lend itself to what 92 is all about, and we are looking forward to being able to call it ours.”
Jack added: “We have literally roasted billions of beans, opened sites all over the country and launched our own products and subscription service – but we will never get over the excitement attached to the launch of a new store. Opening in Spinningfields is another major step in the right direction for us and what we have planned further down the line.

Family pay tribute to ‘loyal’ son who was killed in a stabbing in Moss Side

The family of a 15-year-old boy who lost his life in a stabbing in Moss Side this week have paid a touching tribute to him.
The boy has also formally been named as Mohanad Abdullaahi Goobe.
Mohanad was described as having an ‘uncanny ability’ to make you laugh in his family’s emotional tribute, as shared with the public.
The family’s statement reads: “Mohanad was the baby of the family, he was quick to laugh, easy to love, with a ready smile. Our son had an uncanny ability to make you laugh, making it sometimes difficult to be serious with him. He had many friends, he was loyal and often played the class clown, simply to see them laugh.
#TRIBUTE | Following the death of a teenage boy on Monton Street in Manchester yesterday (15 September), we are now able to name him as 15-year-old Mohanad Abdullaahi Goobe.
“Mohanad’s life has been cut tragically short, it is difficult to comprehend that seeing your son head off for school in the morning, would be the last time that we would see that handsome face.
“Mohanad deserves to be remembered for the young man who was loved by his family, and loved big in return, not as the boy whose life was taken with no thought or reason.
“We will not allow his name to be known as yet another statistic in the rise of knife crime.”
Tributes come after officers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) were called out to reports of a ‘disturbance’ involving a number of people on Monton Street in Moss Side at just after 4:30pm on Monday (15 September), and when they arrived on the scene, they found a 15-year-old boy with serious stab wounds.
#ARREST | Following our earlier update, a 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
This arrest comes after the death of another 15-year-old boy on Monton Street, Moss Side yesterday (15 September 2025).
After being treated both at the scene and later in hospital, the boy was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
A murder investigation was subsequently launched, and another teenager, also a 15-year-old boy, was then arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday (16 September).
Anyone with any information, or who may have been in the area at the time of the incident, is urged to contact GMP on 101 or online, quoting log 2327 of 15/09/25.

Castlefield is being transformed into Gotham amidst more Hollywood filming in Greater Manchester

Castlefield, with its iconic viaduct and cobbled streets, is once again being used for big-budget filming as the latest Batman/DC Universe title, Clayface, looks to be setting up in the eye-catching Manc corner.
Whether it’s football kit reveals and brand shoots, BBC dramas or the next upcoming Netflix series, production crews can’t get enough of Castlefield, it would seem.
For those who hadn’t heard, work on the new Clayface movie revolving around the cult favourite Batman villain is well underway, and the North West has been used as the backdrop on multiple ocassions this month already.

Come on, how cool is it that we get to stumble on stuff like this right on our doorstep so often?
Speaking to The Manc, a source detailed that the set is being assembled today (Tuesday, 16 September) ahead of a single day of principal photography on what we can only assume is more Clayface filming sometime tomorrow.
While she could not confirm with us directly, she said, “If you’re a comic book nerd and look at the posters, you’ll be able to figure it out.” We’ve certainly been studying all the easter eggs already.
It might not quite be as dark and gritty as Gotham City, but this particular part of Manchester has been used in TV and film – especially period dramas – many times for good reason.
The Victorian-era steel structure, dark red brick and overall industrial aesthetic work so well when it comes to creating a believable and cinematic world.
Besides perhaps the most famous instance of Peaky Blinders shooting in these parts, you can add multiple music videos, several Manchester United and Man City shirt launches, and so many more that we’re starting to lose track.
As for Clayface, this isn’t even the first time the upcoming DC ‘body-horror’ flick has popped up in Greater Manchester.

Besides perhaps the most famous instance of Peaky Blinders shooting in these parts, the new Narnia adaptation by Greta Gerwig may just be one of the biggest projects that has ever landed underneath the familiar ‘birdcage’.
ln fact, it just so happens that there are actually multiple noteworthy small and silver screen works fighting over the Castlefield shooting schedule at the moment…
