You can enjoy your selection of dishes alongside a freshly squeezed lemonade or a perfectly picked glass of Rioja to compliment your dishes. It’s situated on the first floor – The Orient, but we promise the meal will make you feel like you’ve flown out to sunny Spain.

Food prepared fresh and served extravagantly is how Wokooshi describes themselves, a winning combo for a place to eat and drink in the Trafford Centre. It’s fun, fusion, fantastic and all the other f’s you can think of. Wokooshii brings a taste of Japan and Korea to The Orient in Trafford. The waiters will take you through the dishes on the menu, or you can put your meal into the pros hands and have the set menu. It’s pronounced ‘tycoon’ and means ‘your restaurant’ and Thaikhun is bringing all of the famous dishes from the streets of Bangkok right to you in the middle of the Trafford Centre so you can eat and drink like it’s your gap yah. It’s a street food buffet-style eatery that lets you pick what you want in your own time. They’ve also got a banging cocktail list split into street, beach and city style for you to try out. Their winning combo of top-notch authentic Thai food and first-class service has made their other destinations around the UK incredibly popular, so you definitely want to pop into their Trafford Centre location.

It’s casual, it’s cool, and it’s absolutely delicious. Barburrito has been serving up sensational Mexican food for 16 years, having started in Piccadilly Gardens and made its way all around the UK. They serve up fast, fully personalised burritos made with the freshest ingredients. They’ve been perfecting their burrito game for over a decade to bring you the quesarito (a stuffed crust burrito) or incredible protein-loaded tacos. It’s a classic whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch, dinner or everything in between. Their cosy interior is a welcome break from the busy Trafford Centre shoppers and a great place to put your bags down and relax. Their huge menu has you spoiled for choice and means there’s definitely something for everyone, or you can have 2 and 3 course set menus depending on your mood. You’ll also find a vast range of wines, cocktails, beers, coffees and soft drinks to suit whatever you want.

It’s the first Chinese bottomless brunch in Manchester, and you won’t know you needed it until you go. There’s loads to choose from including bao buns, dumplings and rice or noodle bowls with a range of fillings and flavours to tingle your taste buds with. It’s a pretty one-of-a-kind establishment so make sure you swing by.

Tucked away on Red House Lane in Altrincham is Red House Tea Room, selected as one of Waitrose’s top 7 tea rooms in the country. There’s loads of freshly baked goods to choose from, including early morning bites, nourishing home-cooked lunches and of course delicious afternoon teas. There’s the Amazing Maize Maze to keep the kids busy, and you have to stop by the farm shop to pick up some vibrant local goodies for tea.
Our Favourite Places To Eat & Drink In Trafford #5: Mort Subite
When we say there’s nowhere quite like it, we mean it. Mort Subite is a subterranean Altrincham bar and self-professed ‘unusual yeast feast’. In 1686 in The Senne Valley, their first beer was brewed with wild yeast (meaning no yeast was added during the brewing process, letting the yeast in the air do its thing). It’s the only place in the world where lambic beers can be brewed, and their yeasty local air is one of the oldest beer brewing practices in the world. Their one of a kind name comes from the dice game played by Belgian workers in the 20s on their lunch break where they would play a Mort Subite (Sudden Death) to end the game before going back to work. Make sure you head down and try out some of their award-winning beers.
