Jet2 announces direct flights from Manchester Airport to new European cities in early 2024
It's part of the airline company's "major expansion" in preparation for the summer travel season.
Stunning cities in Spain and Turkey are just a couple of the new destinations Manchester holidaymakers will be able to hop on a direct flight to from next year.
As part what Jet2 has called a “major expansion” in response to a strong demand from tourists looking to soak up some early summer sunshine, the airline company has announced that it will be putting even more flights and holidays on sale to 17 destinations at 10 of its UK airport bases from early 2024 onwards.
This includes bringing forward the launch of new direct flights from Manchester Airport to three European cities.
Extra capacity to eight other popular destinations will also be added.
Ideal for those who fancy jetting off on an early spring break, or getting ahead of the summer holiday peak season, Jet2 will start operating direct flights from Manchester to Girona in Spain and Izmir in Turkey from the end of March 2024.
Services to Tivat in Montenegro will then follow, and are set to launch from the beginning of April.
Also from March 2024, tens of thousands more seats will be added to other popular European travel hotspots like Antalya, Ibiza, Dubrovonik, Reus, and Rhodes.
“We are continuing to react quickly to the demand we are seeing by adding on even more capacity for summer 2024,” explained Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy.
“Customers and independent travel agents have been flocking to book holidays for the early summer season, so we are delighted to be offering even more choice and flexibility to 17 sun destinations and giving holidaymakers many opportunities to get away.
“By extending the season to Tivat, Girona, and Izmir, as well as adding additional services to a host of destinations for the early summer season, we are giving customers exactly what they want – an early slice of summer sun.
