The first trailer for a highly-anticipated new Netflix mystery series has been released, and we’ve already stuck it on our watch lists.

Fresh off the back of the undeniable success of Fool Me Once – which aired globally on Netflix at the start of this year, and shot to the top of the most-streamed charts in the days after it was released – you may remember that it was announced not long after that two new Harlen Coben series had been commissioned and were in the works.

Fool Me Once amassed 61 million views worldwide in its first two weeks, had the nation obsessing over Michelle Keegan’s coats, introduced the world to the UK’s North/South divide, and questioned if anyone could ever end an argument quite as abruptly as Dame Joanna Lumley.

So, is it really any wonder why Netflix is after more from Coben then? Probably not.

Now, the trailer for one of those commissioned series, Missing You, has just been released to the world, merely weeks after we were given a sneak peak at the first-look images shared last month.

Missing You follows the story of Detective Kat Donovan, who’s fiancé Josh disappeared 11 years ago and she has never heard from him since – but now, when swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes all over again.

Josh’s reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder, and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.

The new series stars Rosalind Eleazar as Kat Donovan and Ashley Walters as Josh, alongside an ensemble cast including Jessica Plummer, Richard Armitage – who also starred in Fool Me Once – Steve Pemberton, and even Sir Lenny Henry.

Coben’s novel takes place in New York City, but the series adaptation of Missing You is set to relocate the story to the UK.

Filming took place in and around Manchester and the North West of England.
