New dates have been added for the sellout success that is the world’s longest outdoor horror attraction, and this is your last chance to grab tickets.
After having terrified the North West masses for the past two years in a row now, the hugely-popular Scare City has returned once again for 2022, but not quite as we remember – as this year, it’s got a new lease on life as a walkthrough scare attraction.
Scare City Experience has taken over the iconic Chorley-based abandoned theme park Camelot.
The Medieval-themed park was a go-to destination nearly 30 years, before it closed back in 2012, and had sadly remained out-of-use and largely derelict ever since.
That was, until events company Park N Party brought the attraction’s abandoned rides and empty footpaths back to life last year for Camelot Rises – and now, Scare City Experience has moved into the legendary site with a “blood-soaked ordeal”.

Thanks to event sponsors Swizzels Matlow, brave souls can experience the fear of the unknown by taking on a 2km walk through different zones of terror at what is the world’s longest outdoor horror experience.

Giving you “more blood for your buck” than ever before, there’s 12 distinct scare zones at this year’s event – including the Swizzels Blood Curdling Camelot Castle, the Whirlwind Woods, the Medieval Murder Zone, and more.
Terrifying live actors will deliver two-hours worth of frightening fun, so you’ll need to make sure you keep your wits about you.

Event organisers have warned – and promised – that Scare City Experience is “not for the faint of heart”, and is only for those seeking “a festival of fear where glee and gore go hand-in-hand”.
After the terrifying event was first announced, the original run sold out in rapid time, which is why Park N Party has now launched a handful of new dates on 26 October, and 4, 5 and 6 November – with tickets now on sale.

Spooktacular Halloween trail to return to National Trust site Quarry Bank
Daisy Jackson
A Halloween trail is set to return to Quarry Bank Mill this autumn for one of the region’s most hauntingly beautiful seasonal events.
The National Trust site is a former working mill and one of the country’s finest industrial buildings – but as night falls and the shadows lengthen, a haunting will begin…
This year’s Halloween at Quarry Bank will again feature spooky light installations, a mesmerising laser garden, and a thrilling fire show, as well as live performances and seasonal food and drink.
Returning for a second year, Halloween at Quarry Bank will be an unforgettable experience for all ages.
Fog will swirl through the paths around the grounds, as glowing demon eyes watch over passers-by and giant skeletons loom over twisted trees.
If you’re brave enough, the trail then heads inside the mill itself, where creaking and clanking sounds of its industrial past hint at something a little more haunted.

As you wander the trail, you’ll pass installations like glowing fire spheres and catacombs echoing with whispers from the past, plus plenty more surprises waiting in the shadows.
Then you can refuel with ‘bewitched burgers and freaky fries’, plus hot toddys and decadent hot chocolates.
You can even toast a marshmallow over an open fire.
Halloween at Quarry Bank is designed for families, couples, and groups of friends alike, and attracts visitors from all over Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside and Lancashire.
Entry to the trail is on a timed slot system – tickets are on sale now HERE.
