Two Manchester hotels feature in the top 30 hotels in the UK for 2020
Hotel Brooklyn and Hotel Gotham are flying the flag for the city of Manchester in the Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards 2020.
Two of Manchester’s finest and most well-known luxury hotels have featured in a prestigious travel platform’s top 30 hotels in the UK for 2020.
Hotel Brooklyn and Hotel Gotham are flying the flag for the city of Manchester after making the cut in independent luxury travel magazine / online platform Condé Nast Traveller’s top 30 list of hotels and accommodations in the country.
This top 30 list is compiled based on the opinions, experiences and ratings of the readers of Condé Nast Traveller.
Hotel Brooklyn came in at number 17 on the list, and Hotel Gotham took the 22nd spot.
Both hotels are impressive additions to the ever-developing Manchester skyline – offering a range of the finest boutique four and five star accommodation, as well as award-winning restaurants and bars – and help make the city a go-to destination within the UK, Europe and throughout the world.
Given their impressive architecture, they’ve also each doubled-up as filming locations for major Hollywood blockbusters and hit TV shows over the years as well.
Condé Nast Traveller – a subgroup of mass media company Condé Nast, which owns Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, Wired, Architectural Digest (AD) and more – is widely-regarded as one of the most well-respected travel inspiration platforms, so this is a pretty big deal for the Manchester accommodations scene too.
Especially as Manchester has beat out many other leading UK cities, some of which – including the English capital of London – do not feature on the list at all.
Scotland’s prestigious five star resort The Gleneagles Hotel in Auchterarder, Perth took the top spot on the list.
Cliveden House in Taplow, Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian in Edinburgh, Luckham Park Hotel & Spa in Chippenham, and Soho Farmhouse in Chipping Norton each make up the rest of the top five spots.
Manchester was one of the only cities on the list to have multiple hotels within the same city / town featured on the list, along with the Scottish capital of Edinburgh, the much sought-after Cotswald village of Broadway, and the historic Somerset city of Bath.
Aside from the two Manchester hotels, the only other North West offering on the list is Linthwaite House in Windemere, Cumbria.
